Col de la Bataille closed …
Trying to cross alpine mountain passes above 1500 meter height in April is always a gamble.
Col de la Bataille is closed, but the fog means that I would miss the stunning views anyway !
Combe Laval …
Road cut out in the vertical mountain side is an all time favorite, but today it was foggy with 20 meter visibility so it was a different experience.

Breakfast in the mountains …
A sandwich from the local baker makes a great breakfast with a scenic view in a gorge 👍⛰️
Green colors of spring …
The spring in Northern France arrives a few weeks earlier than in Scandinavia ☀️🌏
First mountain passes …
Not the highest passes, but it marks the start of the fun roads 🙂
War cemeteries …
White crosses for the winning team, black crosses for the bad guys ….
WW1 battlefields ..
They still find remains of German and French soldiers more than 100 years after WW1 ended !!!
