Worlds largest building for nearly a thousand years !

I have been here many times, but it is still very impressive.

In the 60’ies and 70’ies it was a meeting place for hippies travelling to or from Nepal.

I was here for the first time 40 years ago when I was backpacking in Turkey, and it turned out that one of the waiters had worked here for 44 years.

So I may actually have met this guy 40 years ago !!!! Amazing.

And a well deserved beer after surviving Istsnbul rush hour traffic 🍺
