Rocker arms out …
To check the rollers and to exchange one valve shim.
Plenty of room to check valves …
But the valve cover was a bitch to squeeze out of the frame.
Checking valve clearance …
Valve cover removed and gauges ready.
Exchanging steering head bearings …
On the Duke 690.
Not particulary difficult, but time consuming as you have to take the entire head light assembly apart to remove the T-bridges.

KTM fork seal cleaning tool …
Let you remove dust and dirt that may accumulate under the seals so it wont prematurely destroy the seal.
Why haven’t this simple and brilliant tool been invented before ?
Seat being rebuild …
The flat seat on the KTM offers no support during acceleration, but until recently I’ve seen no good looking seat conversions for the Duke.
Mika in Finland is the exception, and he can build in a hump behind the front seat and make the end result look good.
The picture is from Mika’s workshop, and I’m really looking forward to see the finished result 🙂
