Oooooppps – New bike :-)
I’ve always been impressed with the combination of the very good Suzuki SV650 engine, and the Italian chassis and styling in the Cagiva Raptor, so when I got the chance to get my hands on a fine and little used bike, I couldn’t resist. 🙂

Start of season – again …
March in Denmark this year had the lowest temperature in a hundred years.
But today is was sunny, and the temperature was + 7 C, so I did a quick 100 km backroad rush.
There’s still a lot of ice in the sea close to the coast, but the rising sun will win eventually.

Louis motorcycle acessories

Bought new gore-tex jacket, trousers, and boots in Hamburg, Germany today.
Reticifier/Regulator factory
Erik Schnabel was famous for making high quality regulators/reticifiers for all motorcycle brands.
He passed away recently, but I was lucky enough to see his “factory” as he left it, before everything was removed.
Please note that for a true craftsman, this is not a messy work bench, but a personalized one !
Start on season 2013
Insurance is on from today, and it’s officially the first spring day in Denmark.
Still cold outside and plenty of salt on the road so it will be a few weeks before conditions are truly good for biking again.
But I couldn’t help taking the Duke for a short spin this morning.
+1 degree Celsius, and icy roads. Not much fun, but it’s still the first day of the season 🙂
