New motorcycle trailer…
Big enough to transport two bikes.
Note that the middle track is the ramp to load and unload the bikes.

Removing the integrated Sena SC1 is a point of no return action as I had to cut the cables to the speakers and the microphone and the installation of the new 10C unit was not exactly easy, but it was definitely worth the effort.
A test with another (non SC1) Sena intercom showed that things are back to the usual Sena standard.
– range is at least 600 meters
– sound is clear with no static and you can hear voices clearly up to 120 km/h
– operation is simple and easy with the Sena wheel. Brilliant system !
– and with the 10C Evo I got a permanently installed helmet camera 🙂
This is what Schubert should have integrated in the C4 Pro !!!!
The integrated microphone in the C4 Pro must be removed to install the new Sena 10C Evo intercom.
So I had to make a small plastic bracket for the new microphone.
The integrated speakers in the premium Schubert C4 Pro helmet are small cheap 30 mm units.
They are being replaced by the 40 mm speakers that comes with the Sena 10C Evo intercom.
The Schubert C4 Pro is a great helmet, but the integrated Sena SC1 intercom sucks big time.
It will barely allow you to communicate with other Sena SC1 intercoms, and both sound and range is poor. And it will definitely not connect properly to other Sena intercom systems.
We tested four SC1 units on a day trip, and while we could talk one to one over short distances, neither range or sound quality was great. Group intercom was largely unsuccesful.
Another test ride with a SC1 and a Sena 10C, was just as horrible. Intercom was possible at stand still, but everything ended up in static noise over 50 kmh 🙁
To make everything absolutely hopeless, the SC1 intercom is operated by two small rubber buttons that is impossible to find with your gloves on, and the simple task of starting and ending an intercom chat requires several pushes of the rubber buttons.
The cheapest universal Sena intercom (the SMH-5) is just so much better than this piece of shit and is intuitive and easy to operate with gloves on !!!!!
There is no way I can accept this lack of quality and function, so despite the SC1 is nicely integrated in the Schubert helmet, it is being replaced with a proper and fully developed intercom – the Sena 10C Evo.
SP Connect phone mount and a SW Motech GPS holder, combined by a special 3D printed bracket.
So now the fancy nylon/carbon fiber bracket for the phone mount is ready for installation.
Visiting the cardinal points (North, West, East, South) on the Falster Island.
My new bracket is ready in 2,5 hours.
Exciting to look at the printer working and it is difficult to leave the room and let it work alone 🙂
I was not too happy with my homemade aluminum bracket for the SP Connect phone holder.
The aluminium was too shiny compared to the black SW Motech GPS bracket I used as a base on the handlebar clamps (see earlier post)
But I am lucky enough to have a friend with a professional 3D printer, and he agreed to make me a new one in black nylon with carbon fiber reinforcement !
The pics below is from the design phase – very impressing work !!!
