Forte Föens …
Again, we was able to ride the bikes to the very top of the fort.
Again, we was able to ride the bikes to the very top of the fort.
Mostly gravel-road-free day today in order to re-visit some of the grandest French mountain passes.
Made it to the top of Col de L’iseran. Quite an achievement !!!
Fried camenbert cheese with dried ham, potatoes, and salad.
Always exciting to see where it leads us and if it is a dead end 🙂
I crashed the bike on an upward gravel road and went down hard on my left side.
It was not a particular difficult road, and I’m not completely sure what happend, but the rear end bounced up and to the right.
I have a few bruises on my left leg and arm, and a few bend ribs, but all moving joints are in working order, so I’ll heal again in time 👍
Bumpy gravel roads are not ideal with bend ribs (hurts like hell), so I went down to the camp again and planned another route on paved roads in the mountains.
Self-pity have never helped anyone, and we do not have an endless number of days in the mountains, so I swallowed some pain killers and went out on the bike again 🏍🏔
