Nürburg …
As there was no access to the track today, I took the opportunity to visit the Nürburg castle.

I crossed the border to Belgium around lunchtime, so the obvious thing to do was to stop at the first Friterie and get a plate of potato fries.
They are taking a lot of pride in making fried potatoes the right way, and Frites are mandatory when you are in Belgium.
No activity today, but at least I could place the bike in front of the entrance and snap a pitcure.
In Liege, Belgium.
A 150 year old, huge (HUGE) fortress, abandoned and taken over by nature and grafitti.
A strange experience, and probably not a safe place to stay after dark, but an excellent opportunity to shoot a few great pictures.
In Liege.
Still in Liege
A heaven for beer lovers 🍻🏆👍
The friendly man in the beer shop was not completely convinced that I was riding all the way to Belgium, just to buy a crate of beer 🙂
But he totally agreed that it was the best possible souvenir from Belgium 🙂
My choice was the Rochefort 10 trappist beer – one of the best beers in the world.
Of all the beers I have tasted, this is still my no. 1 favorite, so it was the obvious choice 🍻
Now I’m taking the fastest route home through Holland and Germany with my precious prize.
