arrived at 22.30 in a fancy hotel in Santiago de Compostela.

Available rooms and late booking (5 minutes ahead) gave us a very fair price on the room.

the place is swamped with pilgrims, beggars, and souvenir sellers.

The most popular pilgrim routes are marked with a shell – so all pilgrims are buying shell-souvenirs. Quite an industry here 🙂
