Göreme hot air ballons …
I was up before dawn today to be at the top of the Love Valley cliff at sunrise – and I saw the 168 baloons coming at me in the clear morning ait !

Derinkuyu underground city …
11 levels below ground, room for 10.000 people + animals (stables on the upper levels)
Stone wheel doors to protect inhabitants from uwanted guests 😱
Complete with wells, fireplaces, and ventilation.
Amazing.
9th century cave church …
With 1200 year old fresco’s still fairly intact.
Going off road …
Partly to get away from all the tourists, partly to explore the area – and there is so much to see 👍
The Hotel owner hosed down my dusty bike 👍
(He was watering the garden anyway 😉)
Central Plains in Turkey …
Huge high altitude plain at 1500-1900 meters above the sea.
