Pre-dinner beer and tapas …
Last evening in Spain for this trip.
Last evening in Spain for this trip.
I’m going North through France today, but I found this old fort and a gravel road in the last pass in the Pyreenees.
Where a French girl talked to her invisible friend in a cave 200 years ago.
Today she would probably have been send to psykological treatment, but back then it was considered a wonder and they build this church to celebrate the event !
Behind the no stopping sign.
The parking guard will never notice the bike, and nobody is blocking me so I can’t get the bike out again.
A true win-win situation 😉
Belongs to the Royal Danish family – and they are selling their own wine directly from the castle.
I’m not much of a wine drinker, but I obviously had to buy a few bottles of the royal wine 🥂
The entire village is left as a WW2 memorial.
It is one of the special places where you bow your head a bit and remains silent while walking around.
Google is your friend if you want to know the full story.
Nice touch by the hotel to have dedicated motorcycle parking right next to the entrance 👊🏍️
The size of the battlefield area is still horrifying, even though it is +100 years since the end of WW1.
And the nice hilly landscape is not created by nature 😱
Is brewed at the Rochefort monastary in Belgium.
There is no shop in the monastary selling the beer to private customers, but plenty of signs that they do not welcome visitors.
But the christian church is about forgiveness, so I did not hesitate riding the bike into the brewery yard to take a few photo’s 😎
I could not buy the beer at the brewery, but most supermarkets have them in stock 🍻
