In the middle picture it is obvious that the spring loaded pawls are not moving freely, and it turned out that the small plungers was stuck in the bore by some greasy stuff.
(Probably anti corrosion grease coating from the manufactorer of the part that was never properly cleaned away during assembly of the engine)
I cleaned and oiled all parts, and the gearshift is working perfectly again !
